Robert Fox is an applications engineer with five years of service at the Hobart Brothers Company, a leading manufacturer of welding filler metals. Robert provides technical support of the Hobart product offering—with emphasis on carbon/low-alloy steels and submerged arc welding. Supporting a filler metal offering for the diverse applications of Hobart’s customers has provided Robert with a unique blend of experience in welding procedure development and optimization, weldment testing and analysis, and process troubleshooting. He holds a B.S. in welding engineering technology from Ferris State University, but strives to continually expand his knowledge of welding technology. Robert also serves as a voting member of the AWS A5 subcommittee which is responsible for the development and maintenance of standards governing welding filler metals.
