Description

The 3M Speedglas Outside Protection Plate for 9000 series helmets (04-0270-00) is a polycarbonate lens protector designed to shield the auto-darkening filter from sparks and spatter during welding. Compatible with Utility and all 9000 or 9002 series Speedglas welding helmets, failure to use an outside protection plate with the filter voids the warranty if spark or spatter contaminates the glass. The plate should be replaced when it becomes damaged or too dirty to clean.
