The Fibre-Metal 4906 Tigerhood is a thermoplastic welding helmet shell designed for the 4000 series, featuring a black or gray thermoplastic construction with a fixed shade lens. The Tigerhood design uses heat-resistant thermoplastic Noryl material for high heat resistance, with a smooth, seamless shell that deflects sparks and spatter to reduce burn-through risk. It features a molded-in glassholder with a unique flip-up 2 x 4-1/4-inch telescoping lid, providing a seal against light leak, and includes a shade 10 welding lens.
